Redefining Precision:
ICam Photogrammetry

ICam represents the highest level of photogrammetry applied to modern implant dentistry. This workflow moves beyond the traditional “teeth in a day” approach toward a system-based, predictable process.

At UNICE, ICam is executed as a lab-led workflow that uses photogrammetry data to finalize prosthetic planning on surgery day and fabricate immediate restorations without chairside conversion, delivering a consistently passive fit while reducing chair time and supporting clinical confidence in immediate full-arch cases.

On-Site Support

We come to your clinic with ICam and support you chairside on surgery day. No remote guessing — real-time collaboration and confidence.

No Preparation Required

No extra setup. No additional equipment. We bring everything needed and handle the workflow, so your team can focus purely on the patient.

Same-Day Temporary Prosthesis Delivery

Deliver a precise temporary prosthesis on the day of surgery. Predictable fit, accurate blueprint for the final, and a smoother overall experience.

Why ICam Matters for your Practice

A laboratory-driven solution to reduce risk, increase accuracy, and support confident immediate full-arch delivery.

Unmatched Accuracy

Photogrammetry captures implant positions with micron-level precision, eliminating the distortion inherent in analog impression materials.

Passive Fit From Day One

A precisely fabricated prosthesis minimizes stress on implants, which is critical during the early healing phase and directly impacts long-term success.

Reduced Chair Time

With fewer adjustments and no conversion process, patients spend less time in the chair on surgery day.

Higher Predictability

By removing manual steps and reducing variables, ICam delivers consistent, repeatable outcomes, even in technically demanding cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

ICam is best suited for full-arch (All-On-X) immediate load cases, particularly multi-implant and complex restorations where passive fit and precision are critical at the abutment level.

It is especially beneficial in cases involving angled MUAs, multiple implant positions, or situations where eliminating chairside conversion reduces clinical risk and improves predictability.

Photogrammetry records implant positions digitally in real time, eliminating distortion associated with conventional impressions.

There is no material shrinkage, expansion, or cumulative scanning error. By capturing implant positions directly at the abutment level, the workflow significantly increases accuracy and enables fabrication of a more precise, passively fitting prosthesis.

UNICE provides real-time laboratory communication and workflow coordination throughout surgery day.

Support includes:

  • Photogrammetry setup guidance
  • Intraoperative data capture verification
  • Immediate lab-side data confirmation
  • Same-day/Next-day prosthetic on-site design
  • Rapid prosthetic workflow coordination

Our role is to ensure accurate data transmission and controlled prosthetic execution, minimizing intraoperative uncertainty and maximizing stability.

To properly plan and coordinate an ICam case, we typically require:

  • CBCT files (DICOM)
  • Digital scans (STL or PLY)
  • Bite registration and VDO information
  • Detailed treatment plan
  • Patient photos
  • Surgical timeline and coordination details

For ICam-specific preparation, we also review:

  • Fiduciary marker protocol (if applicable)
  • Scannable healing cap or abutment-level setup
  • Initial prosthetic design or digital blueprint
  • Implant system, MUA selection, and restorative components

We recommend involving UNICE from the surgical planning stage whenever possible. Early collaboration allows us to confirm the digital workflow, verify restorative parameters, and ensure that the prosthetic design is aligned before surgery day. Proper preparation improves efficiency and accuracy during intraoperative photogrammetry capture.

UNICE offers both options depending on your team’s experience level.

  • On-site support includes full technician presence and comprehensive surgery-day assistance, including photogrammetry execution, data verification, and direct workflow coordination.
  • Rental includes access to the ICam device with remote laboratory guidance, designed for experienced teams familiar with the photogrammetry protocol.

For your first ICam case, on-site support is strongly recommended to provide hands-on guidance and ensure the workflow is executed correctly. Once your team becomes comfortable with the protocol, rental can be a flexible and efficient option for future cases.
